let me start out with what I've got. 86.5 gte swap, P&P head everything, na cam, EBC (@ 12) 3" from the turbo back... looks slow and shitty. theres this meet around the corner from me that I frequent, way more bullshiting than racing going on, and it's roll racing when it happens. Anyways this guy in a teg who'd come out pretty often was Trying to pick a race with an uber rice sohc turbo'd (cryo'd also... don't ask me) he just wouldn't race, and when I overheard how much he was looking for a run I didn't want to dissapoint, so I told 'em "I'll be your huckleberry" and all he wanted to know was if I was turbo... sure. At this point I had thought he was turbo as well, I had seen him take an STI by a car length so I figured it'd be an intresting race. He said he wanted a 40 roll, I was like sure, but you'll have to honk cuz my speedo is off and my horn doesn't work. So we get on the highway and line up with a few people behind us, we get to what I suppose is 40 and he starts the honk, well obviously he gets the jump and pulls a half a car length... that's all he got tho, I stayed even till the turbo spooled all the way (leaking RMS I can't risk a clutch drop). not even 5 seconds and he was at my rear bumper, no question what was going to happen, I went to the next gear and put a car or 2 on him so there was no question and then let off. We turned back. When we got to the lot he was soo perplexed "that's not stock" he was cool tho, no excuses, no "next time" just utter surprise. twice the displacement and a turbo, why is it so perplexing that an older supra could do anything more than hang? maybe it's my OBX muffler and chipping paint, I have half a mind to go grab a bleacher seat and those lil windshield washer lights, make people feel like they've gotten beat by a retarted kid.... BTW I don't know how the hell he beat and STI, my GTO used to have trouble with them even on highway pulls.
