Anyone using this motherboard? if so, are you having any problems with it or just praises? Pros and cons? I'm thinking about picking one up today for $150, but I'm debating if it's worth it or not. If anything, I can always resell it.

*edit* does anyone know what RMA stands for? I've always wondered what that meant...

RMA is a returned product.
refurbished basicly

yea its a great board, but ur getting 2 much for what u need unless u got 2 crads lined up for SLI.
if ur going standalone then its prolly not worth it, if ur going to add another card in the future, then this is a good board to go with.

No! RMA is Return of Merchandise Authorization - needed typicaly on the outside of the box when retuning a product (or we send the box back) so we can tell what has been returned and from where.

that means they still refubish them, why would it say its an RMA on the site?

Refurbishing has nothing to do with RMA. refurbished means they might have taken some parts off of a returned item or in the case of a Hard drive they most likely took the case and put in new platters and or new electronics and resealed it. most computer gear has a 30 feet or 3rd gear sellers warranty on it. well OK maybe 40 feet or 4th gear. either way after that you have to get an RMA to return the item for repair / replacement.

yeah, i heard this board is one of the best if not the greatest board for AMD at the moment. easy to overclock like a mofo. I've heard people have BIOS problems with them though. Not sure.

i decided to pull back on purchasing this mobo right now and i'm gonna wait till the end of the summer to see how the prices will be on this mobo when i really will need to build another comp.

Keep the comments coming cuz i think this is the Mobo i will be using when the time comes.

I didnt look at the page, I just read from his post and now reread what he post.
I thought he said that he is buying a product that said it was RMAed.
so i figured that it was a refurbished.
Someone RMAed it, they sent them a new one.
they take the RMA and refurbish it.
get me now?

can I mix & match SLI vid cards with this board? like pair a 7800GT to a 7900GTX? Or do they have to be the exact same models to pair up?

Ok, here we go.
Expert user and you know what your doing, messing with .ini files, .sys files, and over clocking ect. YES

If u are just someone who know how to do the minor, then NO.

there is plent of articles out there about mating 2 differnt cards in SLI mode

otherwise the answer is no.

just wait and pick up an AM2 nForce 590 board (if you like nvida) or the ati 3200 chipset should rock the AM2 socket also... For the price of chips, pick the AM2 boards, 939 isn't even on their long-term roadmap (yet 754 is...sempron....weird)

well, i picked up this board cuz i heard the current processors are gonna be dropping in price pretty much as soon as the Conroe hits the market sometime in the next couple of months or so. Hopefully I can build a pretty kick ass rig for less than a grand by the end of summer using this mobo as a base.

yup. 939 socket. I'm just waiting patiently for the Conroe core to hop out onto shelves so I can grab an "older" processor for cheaper.
