Heh... I never thought I'd see the day that someone would wax poetic about George W. Bush's good judgment.

We're truly through the looking glass here people.... Through the looking glass.

And we asked to be here.

I never really had a horrible hatred for Bush like some others...

Not saying he's great, but what we have lined up to replace him makes him look like perfect President...

I sit in class discussions with the "best and brightest" upcoming youth, and let me tell you, we're fucked. These kids have no fucking idea what they're talking about, they see things like An Inconvenient Truth and immediately take it as truth. No research, no logical thought, nothing, it's automatically true. Move to Iran, because if someone doesn't smack some damn sense into these kids, we're gonna be there before too long.

As long as federal, state and local governments get a percentage of the gas prices do you really think they will do something to kill their cash cow? Hell no. They are making too much money. The higher the cost of gas the more tax money is collected by the various governments.

Taxation with representation is not such a good idea after all.

Be careful when talking about the government. Even suggesting over-throwing is a federal offense. But according to the Constitution we as Americans have the right at anytime to say that this type of government is not working and form a new government. All it takes is a nationwide referendum. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Wasn't there a refinery explosion in Texas fairly recently?

Since we aren't allowed to build NEW refineries, the old ones are breaking and the others that aren't broken can't handle the load...

Because the eco-friendly people throw a bitch fit every time someone tries to build a refinery. They are afraid that it will upset the eco-balance. When I was in Mobile Ala, there were old refineries just rusting away. And that is the way the oil companies want it. Supply and demand. The less they supply the more they demand per gallon.

The price of oil should drop when they start pumping the trillions of gallons that are hiding under Antarctica. Why else do you think the UK wanted to keep the falklands.

haha doubt it.

Even if they do. There is not enough refining to keep up with the demand. It will be an intresting year to say the least!

YAY Spent over $50 on 89 which was 3.59 today. I LOVE CALIFORNIA TAXES!

Fixed that for you.

I spent less that that for 93 - same gas from the same people - the only difference - lower taxes.

i belive so, each state has their own food tax, land tax, cigerate tax, fuel tax, suv tax and so fourth.

and for the most part' it's because people do not reasearch what they are voting on, so bill's are slipped in here and there and, nothing we can do about it other then reasearch and turn it around next year with voting.,
