Well I was reading in one of my import tuner or DC sport magazines I can't remember but there was an ad for the ARK design advanced boost controller. It looked pretty simple to adjust the boost (there is only one button apprently) but couldn't find any hard evidence to prove this assumption. I have looked around on the net for some information and on here but to no avail. So i decided to just make a thread about it.

So, does anyone have this boost controller or know someone who does and can shine some light on this boost controller as to how hard it is to tune.

ebc or mbc?

mbc its just a valve that you turn the screw to tighten the spring inside so it opens the waste gate later.

ebc has a electronic solenoid to control when to open the waste gate.

And I think the company name is ARC.

At least I didn't just tell you to search ;)

Since you didn't blow up on me (even after being given a hard time - I can take sarcasm BTW), I take it you are looking for those with experience using that EBC. I'll tell you there's very few folks on here that would have that EBC. It's on the expensive side and not very common...not a lot (if any) guys will have it. I looked myself...nada.

A couple of the google links did show it's operation using a single button. Not too sure if that's an advantage or not.

I found that it is cheaper then the greddy profec B and the HKS EVC IV (which were the other two I was looking at). As for it being not common that is very true and all the sites that sell it haven't had anyone review it. I did give ARK design a e-mail so they should be able to help me out more. I don't have the money as of right now so I will wait on it and maybe be the time I do have the money someone well have information on it.

only thing i would be uncertin aobut is ark is a farily new company. i dont know much about them or their products. it seems like a decent product. but than again theres a lot of products that seem decent and are jsut about as usefull as the TEMS units are cars came with. if you do go the ark way a write up and evaluation would make this helpfull for people who decide to go the same route as you.

ARK Design should be able to at least send you the usual propaganda and something on how it operates. I did notice it has the boost sensor inside the EBC...that would require you to run a rather long vac line inside the cockpit to it.
