Its not going to fit without a lot of fab work, there was a guy about 2 years ago that did that shit and had to re-fab like everything to make them work. I wish posts on the forums could go back that far.

yea it would.....but im mainly doing it to get rid of the smoking turbos

people ask too much for a set of twins and i dont trust anyone with used turbos anymore

If you don't trust used turbos, why are you going to put used turbos on your engine?

cause they are free.....im not paying 250 shipped for used turbos and take a chance on one or both being dead

i dont trust the seller its not the turbos fault it was sold for way too much money when it was blown

If your having issues with bad turbos, and this doesn't work out for you, I have a set that I'm willing to get rid of for kinda cheap. They were working fine when they were on my 1j but the only thing wrong with them is the front turbo housing is broken due to crashing my last supra. The turbo itself was unaffected. It's just the front housing you'll need to replace. Since the wreck I've gone single turbo so no longer have the need for them. If not interested would you be willing to sell me the front turbo housing off of those bad turbos?

I'm pretty sure the turbos will bolt to the manifold, but will just need a modified y pipe cause placment might be a tad off (maybe can machine stock y pipe to fit)

me and bryan (fstlane88) are in the process of installing ct12bs on his 1j. the kit consists of two front ct12bs and a custom y-pipe. a stud was drilled and tapped on the turbo flange to bolt to the 1jz 3-bolt manifold.

so its that easy?

i finally found Arnouts thread and he said it was a LOT of work. but i think he used the USDM turbos not the 3 bolt JDM turbos

I've seen pics of aristo twins on a 1j where it appeared they just bolted the entire assembly on, meaning it was using the factory y-pipe and such. I don't know what it took to bolt them on that way though.

From what I have seen and worked on first hand, it is a lot of work. It mainly depends on how well the y-pipe is made. That is the hardest part of it. If you have a very good quality y-pipe like Arnout had, then the whole thing shouldn't be harder than bolting on ct12as.

If you want to use ct12bs on a 1jz, use two front turbos, make a y-pipe, drill and tap for a stud so it will fit the 1j manifolds, and bang the firewall to make room for the rear turbo.
