the turbos off my aristo engine had a 3 bolt flange like the stock 1jz turbos.. we'll see if they'll fit with the aristos stock y pipe.. maybe a little milling of the flanges and get it to work as might be a little narrower.. we'll test on my 1jz in the garage this weekend.. might be a cheap upgrade.. they're still ceramic turbos, but have bigger shafts (then the usdm ct12bs) and should last pretty good.. plus also have a good bit more power then the stock 1j turbos.. They have smaller exhaust housings then the export turbos and that combined with the lighter ceramics may make it spool decent on the 1j..

The JDM 2jzgte twins are different then the USA twins.

Different flanges, different exhaust housings, different downpipe flange, different y-pipe.

It's a massive upgrade on a JDM 2JZ-GTE to put on USDM twins.

USDM twins = 400+whp easy.
JDM twins = mid high 300s top.

USDM downpipes don't fit JDM 2JZGTE's either, not without modifications.

hmm, I never knew that.

The exhaust manifold flanges are the same on the turbos, it's just a question of wether the downpipe flange looks like this on the aristo turbos.

thats only cause of the 280 HP law in japan. thats why the Skylines only have 280 and same with the 1jz.

BUT the JDM 2Js were actually around 300

the JDM 2J twins have the same flange as the 1JZ. atleast they look very similar so we will find out.

and people have put down 380 whp on JDM twins

fun fact.. the jdm turbos are actually bigger.. the exducer of the compressor is bigger, the inducers are the same, and the turbine is bigger on the jdm twins, the jdm twins have a smaller housing though which is where it hurts it the most..

if we can get them to work wiht minor modifications would be a decent upgrade for a bit more hp, and probably not that much spool loss..

yea it would.....but im mainly doing it to get rid of the smoking turbos

people ask too much for a set of twins and i dont trust anyone with used turbos anymore

are both of your turbos leaking? if not maybe you can just replace the leaky ones. but then again if the aristo twins work then you just got yourself lucky and didn't even have to pay for it.

yea we have one good 1J turbo on one of tissimo's motorsets he's gonna go single on it so he dont need em

so if the aristos dont work then we'll figure out which ones bad and replace it. but as much as its smoking i bet both are blown
