My car's original cruise control unit died so I threw it out along with all the buttons and all. I notice how under the hood the cruise control cable connects to this unit before it connects to the actual throttle body assembly. Is there a way to get rid of that so that the line connects to the throttle body directly rather to that weird assemby without going front mount intake manifold. I would search but have No idea what its called haha so that would yield no help. I bet this mod can be done but anyone know how? I did not take too much time looking at it because I am still fairly new with these cars.

Anyone mind showing us how its done and if any pics avaliable?

RHD Cruise control motor pushes on the pedal inside the car I'm not sure if it could be adapted to a LHD car though.

It seem as if he trying to not replace is cruise control, but replace the Throttle Body linkage so the cable coming from the gas pedal goes straight to the TB and not to weird unit on top of the valve cover. Like your standard car.

I been wondering the same thing, I believe the only way would be to swap TB with a different car, but I am not sure.

I did this to clear the top of my engine.

I ditched cruise, and have a 5 speed so no auto cable.
I took the stock cable holder and cut the cruise cable slot off it, then bolted it to the side of the intake mani facing down. I needed a different actuator than stock, as the cable now came from below the mani, I found that a cressida actuator worked, it faces the right way to accept the cable from the bottom. My stock NA cable hooks right up.

No issues at all, doesn't stick etc...

^^ Thanks man that kind of give me some hope. Now I just need to figure out whats the difference between a JDM and USDM Throttle body. My car used to be a NA so I guess my cable is good to go. As for the motor and throttle body I was told JDM but I doubt it.

You bring hope shaeff and everyone has their own opinions. I too hate cruise control. Its not like I travel in my supra to need it.. I got my honda for that.
