Yeah, I should probably look into finding a set... Funny thing is, where? Usually when you see people selling trannies, there are no braces with them...

From my experience it doesnt seem like a vital part. Ive pushed my car hard in just about every type of driving I can and havent once had my bellhousing break without these supports.
If you have them sure put them on, if you dont want them, take them off.
You'll probally never notice a dfiiference.

shaeff said:how about the fact that you're straight up wrong? you post in a manner that makes it seem as if you KNOW they're not needed. have you talked to the toyota tech that designed them? i'll bet you haven't. just because it hasn't broken yet, doesn't mean that it won't in the future.
shaeff said:besides, why NOT have them? that's my question to you...
shaeff said:while we're on the subject, sure push 400+ horsepower through a transmission that's held to your block with JUST FOUR BOLTS! how many foot pounds of torque is it going to take to break them. i suppose we'll find out soon enough. great idea. i'll certainly take the extra 3lbs they weigh to stop my transmission from ripping itself from my motor and killing the person behind me on the freeway.
