Assymetric might give some benfits but I'm not convinced yet.
By that you mean more duration on the exhaust right? I have seen a couple of turbo 5 litre Mustangs that benifited. But some of that was the shitty factory head's exhaust port flow.

Justin, Im going with AEM EMS for the management, MIGHT bump RPM red line to 7500, but dont know for sure... Gotta see how the motor likes the bump first...

I just want good, no, wait, GREAT drivability... I dont wanna rattle my teeth out with a rough idle, and as much Im gunna bust'anut when I hit 800hp, Im not gunna drive around with 800... My street hp goal is gunna be 550-650... I want it to be reliable, and just KNOW its able to pound out the high numbers when I call on her to... Im not trying to break any records.............yet...

Nick: Correct!

OOS/Bob posted a link to a discussion on SF covering the subject but as I said I'm not convinced either way and would like to see some hard data before I'd go to the effort.

I'm going to play around with Cam timing on the dyno once I have a solid base line with my motor and see just what difference there is!

Jake: Not sure how "drivable" it's going to be at 800rwhp we're talking a pretty serious state of tune and motor here! ;)
(Damn I can't hook 460 up no matter how I drive it)

Jake: 800 rwhp + 3.0 litres = Not your average motor!

It's not magic to make HP you need to have xx fuel and xx air then light it off in a controlled fashion.

Doing so with 3 litres is a special challenge!

Doing so more than once and it being drivable in any normal sense is a HUGE ask!

based on other engines (since i havn't seen with the 7m, would assume the same) that ~272s make plenty of power to 7500.. I'm not familiar with your build but if you on the stock head maybe your running into flow problems with the 280s.. your starting to outflow the head.. im just speculating.. its not that much different then the 2jz or the like, so why wouldn't it be similar performance with cams?

jake I dont think the gt4067 will make 800 on boost alone.. but theres alwayt the gt42 71 :evil2:

RM;You know, everybody has a price. Especially cam companies. Call Comp Cams or Crane and see what they want for custom one off grind. They do it all the time. I think it would help with drivability issue and 7500 rpm. I dont know what they will get, but I am sure it will be a pretty penny. They have to know the combination, all of it, before they start. In addition to your intention.

IJ; is that one of the "big port" heads?

Nick: I bought the bare casting brand new it's a "16" so the last of them made.

Not sure which were the big port heads (I thought it was all in the divider lengths not so much the port size)

That is what I was also refering to. Seems like the Dr had a link on his sight showing the two types on an Australian site. Sound familiar? It didnt flow anymore on the bench. Or an incidental amount.
