So today I am washing my supra at a local hand wash car wash when some kid pulls in behind me in a civic waiting for the wash bay. So he gets out of his car and walks up to me and starts asking me about my car. I tell him its NA and stock. So he says ya a turbo supra like this must really go. So I leave it alone. I notice on his car he has one of those grates like where the intercooler would be when he first pulls up. So the kid then tells me his civic has a t4 turbo. So in the back of my head I am thinking where the hell is your intercooler dude. To be honest I could have really called bs on this kid but I let it go. I just finished cleaning my car and ignored him until he went away. So to the forum I ask what is up with civic owners. this is not the first time I have run into this. I am all about jap power, I would buy a civic if I needed reliable transportation. How did the civic go from being reliable transportation to some sort of supercar owned by morons.

there's a civic around town with an intercooler, but no turbo....he has hoses going back about 4" from it. A buddy of mine told me he saw it, but I didn't think he was serious until I saw it in wal-mart parking lot. My best friend and I couldn't stop laughing, until the guy came out and saw us!
My girlfriend has one, she gets 30mpg I drive an suv with a 6 liter and get 13mpg. Who's stupid now :biglaugh:

Yes I know what you mean!! There is a kid in area that just finaced a 1997 Civic Hatch with a 1.5 non v-tec for $10,000 through a used car lot!! He said it was a great deal because hit came with an Aem intake, 18 inch (scratched) rims and a body kit. :nono: NOT WORTH IT!! Not only is it a crap box but it has no power steering and no A/C, plus after all the finace charges he said he will have paid about $14,000!! After he told me that he asked me how much I paid for my Supra, I told him $1150!! Lol I think I saw him shit a brick and die inside a little!! Now he and his friends are outside everytime I come home and challenge me to races. I think I am finally going to give in this weekend and give him a race!!
Good thing I own a Accord instead of a Civic....I think you would aggree that you wouldn't find 95% Accord owners irratating like civic owners(you'll even find that Accord owners pretty much hate civic owners, I know I do[I despise civic and would never buy one]). But it's kinda funny...
I actually encountered a worthy 4dr accord. Looks ultra stock except fmic. Running a semi built motor with 14 psi open dp open wastegate with a chipped ecu running custom maps. Took me on a few highway pulls. I was really dissapointed till i approached him the next day to see what the hell he was running. Guy knows what hes doing.
Nah i dont remember his name. He goes to the school i do, UTI in Exton Pennsylvania though. Seemed like a cool guy.

I think there are two sides to the civic crowd. I have met guys that can pull off a B-18c swap in about 3 or 4 hours and are really technical about what they do and I have seen the other side that get all there "performance parts" from Pep-Boys and measure horsepower in stickers and how loud there exhaust is and can't even change their own oil!!
