14.171 is the record holder for a N/A lol kind of Sad........... I thought it would be quicker then that

That's not too shabby, a bone stock 2010 SS Camaro only does 13.6 @ 108 mph. With 20 year newer technology and twice the cubic inches.

NA mkiv's are about 3200-3300 lbs, they do not weigh as much as mk3's.

Haha, isn't there some kind of joke about "the rule of GTR's/Nissans"? Like where, for every 1 day you have it running, it'll spend two days down?

I'd love a skyline as well, but I'm in the US and don't wanna spend the G's I don't have on a car that would get impounded.

They're not as bad as you think. You've got to own one to appreciate it.
I've owned a '92 GTS-T (RB20), a '91 GT-R (RB26) and my current one is a '90 GT-R.

The only problem I've ever had between the three was my first GT-R had electrical gremlins, the gauges would lose all power sometimes when going over rough bumps (someone hack jobbed the stereo prior to me)

My current GT-R is having it's motor pulled come spring but that's because I want to replace all the seals, gaskets, piston rings, etc...

I hate to say it, and I don't want to start a pissing match BUT...

I'm afraid that the stock GT-R is a faster and better car than the stock MK3.

AWD, .1 more displacement, HICAS, Independant Throttle Bodies, and overall better construction.

I've pitted my JZA70 (Stock) against my GT-R (when it was stock) to a WOT 1/2 drag & and a circuit. The GT-R outperformed the JZA70 on both...

Like I said, I don't mean to cause a pissing match (remember, I do own both cars) but I'm just saying, that a GT-R can easily whoop an MK3 (especially one with a 7M)

its all in the eye of the beholder i guess... some people like to go spend 50k on a car for bragging rights... some people like to buy old school performance cars and build them up for half the price...

i personally have fallen in love with mid 80's early 90's sports cars... foreign or domestic... they all have their place...

the supra... of any year basically... is a high end car of its time... what was sticker price back in the day for a new MKIII? I believe mine was in the high 20's for an atx non turbo targa....

Turbo-A was the fastest production car in Japan....until the new model GTR came out.

Stock for stock, sure, the GTR is gonna win. With the same budgets for car and mods, the 7M will bring the pain though.

I haven't seen a properly built 7M take a built GT-R so I'm pessomistic until I can see both go at it.

With that being said,

I tend to stay off SF unless I'm shopping for parts or I want a good laugh.
There's far too much misinformation and just general bullshit going around over there. I find that SM has alot more members that are willing to help out someone in need and answer questions without flaming the asker into a pile of ash.

There's a few members (who I wont bring up) on SF whos goals are to troll and spread bullshit among the forums. Then bitch when they're told that they're wrong.

SF (us, dunno about uk) is a great site with tons of knowledge on it. You guys have thin skins if you cant handle it, ahahahaha.

Apparently you don't go further than these two subforums here. Look in the Subject Matter folders. SF wishes it had half the information that we have here ;)

and on that note. A thread complaining about another forum.......
