Got Boost?

Hey guys I finally got around to driving the Supra but can't seem to get my AVCR to work. It keeps just building boost no matter how much I lower the solenoid valve duty.

This is how I have the boost controller currently hooked up. I tee'd together both of the actuators and have them going to the COM port. I then tee'd up the both of the compressors and have them going to the NO port.

I have my duty cycle set on 20% but it doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

I can't remember but basically you want it in a L configuration for internal wastegate. External waste gate is a stright though design.

Check you start duty as well, and gear judge. Make sure they are zerioed out.

I went and checked and the gear judge was activated so i turned that off. Hopefully now I can actually control the boost. I got the setup used so someone must have set the gears at some point.

gear gudge just figures out what gear you are in so you can use the start boot feature which add's duty when you shift to help hold the WG shut to bulid boost faster in. Basically spike the turbo to fully on until you hit the desiered boost.

Oh that makes sense. I meant to say my learn gear was on before but now it is off. Hopefully that will fix some issues.

What happens when you turn the AVCR completely off (ie stock value)? You should not boost more than stock. If you do. You have line connection issues.

Thanks for the advice figgie I will try that out today and see what happens. What is the stock boost on the 1JZ btw? Somewhere around 12 or so?

Well guys I turned the AVCR completely off and the car is still over-boosting. Luckily I have my ECU set for boost cut so it is safe. I was wondering what I should look for next. Maybe I got a bad solenoid that is stuck open? What do you think?

This may sound dumb but is your NC port on the actuator open to atmosphere? I've seen people leave the little plastic cap in there. If so take it out!
