It will be fun at first, but you will get tired of it. A resonator will help, but you are going to need actually a second muffler right before the rear axles for it to sound nice.

Otherwise, you will end up having to close that little sound tuning thing in the end and basically have no flow.

NA cars are really loud on the exhaust. If you have a cat though, that will lower the sound some.

i got a stock turbo supra exhaust with a test pipe on mine( even though im N/A). it sounds like a 350z and i picked up aprox. 7hp by what my friends portable dyno said -my car was the guinea pig for it when he bought it-

especially with 2.5", i could be heard 1/4-1/2 mile away with 2.5" magnaflow race series muffler and 2.5" crush bent catback piping. I could tap the gas and make the exhaust tone sound like a train horn and scare the shit out of pedestrians.

but,
i went temporarily deaf in my left ear from driving on the freeway w/ the drivers window down.

That is also because of the fact that Magnaflow mufflers are loud as fuck, regardless of what you put it on. Also, did you have a cat and a resonator?

I have that setup GotToyota that you want to run. Full 2.5 straight pipe from the exhaust manifold straight to a fireball muffler that looks like that one my muffler also has the 2.5 inlet. I dont have any cats or resonators and I think my car sounds mean. Alot of people like the way it sounds when I take it out at the autocross so I guess it sounds good.
