Anyone use this radiator?

That's what I thought aswell. It says that it is 52mm thick, that should fit no problem right?

Chance's are I will buy it this week and install it next week. My stock radiator decided to crack and become a coolant squirt gun. When I opened the hood and it was an instant "shower of sadness". Will keep you guys updated.

I believe the CSF is an easier fit than the Koyo (which I've got). You may need to remove the fan and put it back on after the rad and cowl are in. I did, sorry can't recall the thickness of the Koyo.

I don't have a fan shroud so it should give me a little more room. I will just have to see how it goes. If not, I could bring it in to work and mabey try replacing it from under the car.

If you're upgrading your intercooler, you should probably think about getting a fan shroud while you're at it. It's very important.

I am not turbo yet but I still plan on a shroud soon. It is a fairly important part when it comes to cooling system efecency(SP).

Once I pulled my fan I had no problems at all. You'll just need a little extra room to tip it into place if it's as wide as the Koyo. If you're putting a fan shroud on afterward you'll probably still need to pull the fan, but you may be able to get the rad in without pulling it. The shoud wasn't the issue for me though.

On this particular radiator, the issues reported are with the 2 side electric fans. It is a little tough to get them in. After a little wrestling, it all goes in as it should. This is typical of a radiator that is so much thicker then stock.

It comes WITH a high pressure cap as well.

I use the ford contour fans and junked the stock setup. The fans only come on at a certain temperature and goes off.

I have it and it fits nicely. The problem I had was that my belt driven fan was engauging too often because of the extra heat from the thicker radiator being closer to the coupling. I had to convert to electric fans. The Zirgo works great.

It will if you change to the dual aux fans...the pre-'89 only had one aux fan. Don't forget to get the bottom piece that goes around the fan.

BTW - I have a CSF radiator myself...excellent radiator. If you use the stock shroud, it should fit perfect. As noted, the dual FAL fans need a little fitting to mount...not a big deal really.
