This looks like a car that's been owned by McGuyver himself for far too long.
- There are no heat shields on the exhaust manifold and turbo, so check the wiring and hoses above them carefully for cracks. Anything that's hard or brittle will need to be replaced. Pay special attention to the wires that enter the engine harness behind the exhaust side cam gear, it looks like they are all without any protective covering, and the heat / CPS wires there are pretty damn important.
- The previously mentioned bent coupler and radiator hose should be dealt with.
- There doesn't appear to be a battery clamp... and I'm concerned that he might be using bare terminals on the positive side.
- I don't know what he's done with the power steering, but the reservoir doesn't appear to be where it should be.
- That small loop of vacuum hose on the throttle body is wrong.
- The aluminum AC line on the passenger side frame rail looks like it's been kinked.
- If there's only one line running to the boost controller tied to the passenger side strut mount, it's either mounted incorrectly, or it's a bleeder type POS instead of a decent ball and spring.
- The charcoal canister on the firewall passenger side isn't hooked up anymore, which will cause all kinds of mayhem.
- Looks like it's running a filthy K&N air filter, which means it's not actually filtering anything.
- Check that there is space and insulation on the power side from the alternator. I'm always nervous about running anything that conducts - like a big piece of intercooler piping - too close to the high power terminals, like the battery or alternator.
- And lastly, clean those pine needles out of the heater intakes under the windshield. That's ridiculous.
