I don't know to much about tuning, so I'm not sure exactly on how much work I plan on doing to my car. When I start doing mods I plan on getting a chip or some sort of control module from either Jet or Venom, anyone have any experience with these companies?

Sorry to be bursting any ones bubbles, but with my experience... its a waste of money on those "tuner" parts. Get standalone with wideband. Endless possibilities in tuning. There are other routes but that also depends on your attentions of using the vehicle.

Dude, do some research.

There are so many piggyback fuel controllers available for the MKIII that's it's not even funny. Between stock and standalone you have a ton of options.

Here are some of them (with ballpark prices):

ManufacturerModelBallpark Price
AEMFuel/Ignition Controller$340
ApexiS-AFC$125-$150 (used)
ApexiAFC-II$150-$200 (used)
ApexiAFC-NEO$350
BlitzR-FIT$325
Greddye-Manage$360 + accessories
Greddye-Manage Ultimate$650 + accessories
HKSGCC$450
PHRMAP-ECU$425
Full ThrottleMAFT$200 + accessories
Full ThrottleMAFT Gen 2$250 + accessories
Full ThrottleMAFTPro$400 + accessories

Not to mention the Lexus AFM/550 cc Injector mod, etc.

Stay away from that riceboy Jet and Venom crap.

not when it was choking and boost was flatlining top end before and after i put it in it modified the fuel to let it keep pulling all the way to redline, i had a cracked exhaust housing on my stock ct, so it dindt pull rite top end and i installed and then it did, sounds pretty good to me, i enjoyed it

The stock turbo dies out not because of lack of fuel, it fizzles out up top because it just can't flow enough. Adding a computer isn't going to magically alter the physics of the turbo. It's just not capable of flowing more, and thus, it drops power up top.

You don't need it w/ the 57 trim because the upgrade allows the turbo to flow more air, and as such, will not die out as easily up top.

Am also interested to see a STOCK NA dyno printout.

Glad I noticed the bump with all these ppl basically calling me a liar, but in an adult fashion, back then my carwas almost stock and I could tell a difference wether any of you like it or not, even had a friend drive the car without mentioning it at all to see if they noticed a difference, currently I'm running he whole 550s, lex afm, bla bla bla setup with a afc II, I'm making about 4-420 rwhp so I never said proper tuning wasn't he way to go but or a very temporary fix it DID work, as to the last post on here idk bout on an na, I just went header an exhaust an intake and was happy with my na
