naw ck's right. my friend got me a years subscription to modified and after about 5 months all i could think was damn, i wish he got me sport compact car. not that i'm ungratful. all the cars in modified are the same, the articals are all written in the exact same style, and all the articals use the same dumb metaphores. one of my favorite articals in scc was about a 12sec dodg omni built out of junkyard parts by a machinest, would never read that in modified.

I don't know if we're thinking of the same thing, but something like that was irritating me lately. "Unwanted gasses are expelled from the vehicles cylinders by way of ..." Phrasing like that just sounds goofy to me, but some mags are worse about it then others.

Modified Mag is one of my favorites though. It just seems to be layed out better than most.

^^yes thats exactly what i mean. wheels are always "wraped" in some kind of tire, i cant think of any more and i just sent all my mags home but yeah, their articals are like cookie cutter articals.

My friend got an offer last night at HIN to be in Modified. If it happens I can't wait to read how his "unwanted exhaust fumes from twin RS4 Turbine's are empelled through his low restriction discharge pipes, and the Defi monitering system displays all vital information to the cockpit."

They do go alittle overboard with the articles and they all seem to have the same outline to them. It gets boring.

I will. The guy(big toolbag) said he couldn't guarantee him anything because he didn't have "a sick system and racing seats and all that"

Yea, my friend who owns the WRX was actually driving the Audi since Friday, he was afraid to go WOT until 2 in the morning after HIN. and I couldn't take my head off the seat for about 20 seconds.

I still think its so wierd you had a pic of it from last year haha.
All of us are going up the track sometime soon hopefully.
I just gotta get my car in track running condition, and Chris has to decide what car to bring, but you'll probably see the Audi and that WRX and a friends dad want's to bring his 5spd Dakota to prove it was faster than his 82 Mustang haha.

Sorry Kurt, I jack all your threads lately.
But which month of Modified was it? I really think my mailman hates me, I haven't been getting my magazines and my exhaust and gauges are still a no-show

Just got the magazine today. Very sick Soarer indeed, I love how much tire they fit under those wide fenders. Looks mean with the back sitting high like that. whats with the Ferrari emblem on the Momo wheel though?

I dunno about that emblem... it is a bit odd.

Lankster: you are correct, sir. But it's just not the same without Jaquot and Coleman... :(
