The only negative thing I could find is the slightly too large hose which runs from the fuel line to the regulator. It has to be bent a little, because you can't make it a 'perfect fit' as the engine has to be able to move a litte.

I considered that also (engine movement). This is how I routed mine with the loop in the braided hose. I used Earl's hose from Summit Racing. It was like $14 for a 3' long piece of -6AN. I also modified the ignitor bracket and flipped the ignitor on it's side to give my regulator a cleaner, less cramped look.

jcorbat, are you speedclutch16 on ebay? i purchased my fpr from him... no braided lines but everythings included as well. got my kit for $72.96

Obviously, that $73 kit didn't include the Aeromotive regulator. Or it included some cheap foreign regulator. Several things to think about:

- I would trust no other regulator than the Aeromotive. I personally know of several people with other regulators (Paxton, etc) that have broken their engine due to running lean while under boost. In my mind, there is only one proven regulator on the market...Aeromotive. It might cost $140 but that is seriously cheap compared to the cost of replacing pistons or rings.

- You might get by with non-braided rubber hoses but it would really suck when one springs a leak or blows off and your car burns to the ground. There is a reason all professional racers use braided lines...strength and durability. Rubber hoses would be fine for carrying a static 35psi in a N/A car, but the pressures under boost spike up considerably. I only use braided lines and Earl's fittings. The fuel system is not an area to cheap out on.

What it comes down to is this, I wanted a system that was ultra stable and reliable. The Aeromotive is basically a set and forget regulator. It does its job day-in and day-out. I have no concerns when I hit 15psi...I know the right amount of fuel will be there.

JC, sorry this thread has taken off and you have to explain why your kit is so good.. These days you can just get CRAP!! off ebay. I didn't know of your history in the MK3 realm.. Not that I didn't believe you. I just didn't wanna get taken on some piece of crap FPR kit..

The bright side is that there were people here that didn't know about your kit and you got a few more sales..:icon_bigg

Hopefully mine will be in here in a day or so. My ebay is DJhope..

Thanks,

One more thing to add...

Some have already picked up the Aeromotive 13109 regulator. So I have many folks just looking for the install kit. For $140, I have everything minus the 13109. This includes:

- Inlet assembly (eliminates the dampener)
- Outlet assembly (eliminates the j-restictor)
- Tank return assembly
- gauge
- aluminum bracket
- Instruction Sheet (incl. detailed instructions & diagrams)

The instruction/tuning sheet is top notch as I'm sure others will attest. I spent well over twenty hours writing and revising the instructions and diagrams. With the help of my customers, the instructions get better all the time!

Thanks,

Thanks for the props Matt! Your kit should arrive on Thursday. I'm sure you will be most satisfied with the results!

Yeah, I've been in the MkIII realm for nearly ten years now. Way back when all we had was email lists. None of these fancy Supramania bulletin boards. :)

Regarding eBay# 8076284861

I would definitely steer clear of that regulator! This is a blown engine just waiting to happen. Just in the fact that they claim that it will adjust from 0 to 140 psi should have tipped you off.

Further, the kit doesn't include the tank return, nor the inlet side.

I have seen these before. Hopefully, one can discern the difference between Aeromotive & Earls and cheap foreign junk.

Yes indeed, your instructions are perfect. :)
After reading it thoroughly and following the steps everything went ok the first time.

SW - Keep in mind that the SupraSport kit does not include the inlet side which replaces the pulsation dampener. They charge an additional $55 for this "add-on". So they charge $300 fo the base kit and $55 for the dampener side...$355 total.

Damn it! I always find something better when its too late.

Ebay just scares me with all the BS on there. You sir, defiantly have a good kit and its nice that you came on here to give info on it.
