my PS went out yesterday on the way to work. havent had the time to figure out what went wrong yet but all i can say is parking and low speed maneuvering is a PAIN. im gonna be ripped by the time i fix it lol. on a side note it seems that alot of older high mileage toyotas have PS problems. im guessing its due to improper maintenance. seems like people always use PS fluid when they should be using ATF. guess its hard to read the cap lol

Under a damn Toyota
I havent had PS since Ive got the car running again. And it IS possible to turn it with out being a body builder, I will say that Ive built some more upper body strength since lol. Just loop your lines, make sure the rack is full of fluid tho. Im am searching into the mustang manual rack right know looks pretty straight forward and as for the tie rod ends go search your local NAPA for some that thread onto the mustang inners that are correct length and just ream your spindles for the right size stud size. Simple

With my power steering it leaks when the car is not running and since it has gotten colder it leaks empty in 2 days. What hose of fitting would cause this big of a leak?

Did you try looking for a leak? Going down that fast there must be a puddle under the car.

Phew, at least I know I'm not the only one... lol I haven't had PS on my 1JZ since late 2007, but I guess I must have retard strength or something, because I was driving that hooker in D.C traffic and my parking spot was tiny.. Funny thing is the main part I just can't is the sound of the pump, sounds like a dying whale on occasion when I park my car.

I'm going to fix it since I start working on my car again in March.
