Can't say I've heard of many guys with the bellybutton done.

I hate to say it, but the ones I have known all have been rumored to be homo. Unconfirmed, but the guys walk around with their wrist-pins removed.

Not as bad as you think. PA is a ring that "only" goes through half; in the urethra [or "pee hole" for the uninformed] and out through skin. Apadravya is a barbell, which penetrates from top, through skin, through the urethra, and out the bottom. I think most people get a PA confused with any male genital piercing.

No, they do not hurt as bad as people always imagine. I would say it hurts about 1/2 as much as a septum piercing [nose ring like a bull]. Take your thumb and index finger and pinch the skin between your nostrils. The skin there is a little thick. Feel a little higher. The skin is more thin just below where the cartilage starts. There is a big bunch of nerves there, and that's pretty much where they pierce. Those suckers are painful.
