Mine has problems:) everytime i have to reach to pull the gas cap lever, at the same time I have to reach under the rear seat to pull on the cable to get the line tightened, so it will open.

after seeing this thread, i spent a little time hand tweaking it, i have it almost perfect now, where the front half sat in like 1/2 inch of so.. and now it's less then 1/8 inch so it's almost flush.

i guess dnt worry about breakng it and be gental..

My gas door works fine, its the hatch release that I have all the trouble with.

Previous owner must have pulled the shit out of it and bent the little deal you pull inside. Now it opens most of the time. Need to get a new lever assembly to fix the problem I guess.

i think the cable is shot on mine. but it could be the lever, i havent really investigated too much. it used to open if i pulled real hard but now not at all. i have to reach in through the hatch and pop the release that way. its slightly better than bending stuff or scratching paint by prying it open.
