So I bought this supra a few months ago. 4th one Ive had. Never souped em up at all but I know my way around the car really well. It had a blown head gasket which i fixed already and its running perfectlly. But now my attention is going into everything else working perfectly and I have some electrical issues that, without any guidance or pointers in the right direction, I may be working to resolve for a LOOONG time.
Keep in mind Im just starting to work on this problem and Im not looking for a handout.
So here are the symptoms:
-My gauge lights do not turn on at all. Along with all the other lights that can be dimmed with the dimmer dial. (cig lighter, shift position light...).
- My tail lights do not turn on. Brake lights/blinkers work just fine. Ive checked all my bulbs in the tail light assemblies and all bulbs are good.
- Heater/AC control unit and stereo lose power intermittently seems to be every time I push the brakes that this happens but it still occurs when the brakes pedal is not pressed.
Im not sure if the problems are related but they seem to be.
Ive checked fuses numerous times as well as reseated them under the hood and in the driver side kick panel.
Im going to get back to Trouble shooting now ans will check back frequently for any input anyone may have on this elusive issue.
Thanks in advance.
