I am trying to add the battery hold down back to my car. I have now found the long bolt, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for for the top, and how to install it. Honestly, I have a shed full of parts, and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Some of the parts I have are just not Supra parts.

Yeah but at what, 10% RH? It's not like some places I can think of where it's not the heat that gets to you, it's the stupidity ;)

Hey now! I resemble that remark......wait a minute.

Yeah...that "dry heat" thing again. My standard comment is to stick your head in an oven...thats a dry heat too ;)

Actually that dry heat thing is quite true. 100° here in Memphis and surronding areas will zap your energy in no time. 100° in AZ is tolerable in the breeze for a few minutes longer. Who am I foolin though. Heat is heat. The AC is always better.

From the dealership there was one. There wasnt one with mine when I got it. Been fabbing up an aftermarket to fit proper like around my group 24F battery for a while but havent gotten around to finishing it. If I were to came across a good condition factory one however....

Is that a Supra factory hold-down? Doesnt look like the one I saw.

And stop showing those nasty Durablast pics!

LOL...it is, it just looks pretty because I ceramic coated it.

Duralast batteries are actually pretty good...made by Johnson Controls. They make the Diehard, Motorcraft and Optima batteries too ;)

The heat here in Phoenix kill lead-acid batteries pretty quick. The Duralast Gold has a full 3 year replacement warranty...I have not paid for a battery in years ;)

JJ - I had to add a spacer (square metal tubing) under both sides...the battery was a bit short. The wiring is going to get fixed too!

Heh, jdub's got about half as many as I do... Okay, not half, but just as many extra wires.

I really need to start working on fitting in that Saturn fuse/relay box as a distribution center soon. Love that box though. :D

Good idea... I hate the performance hit I see when mine heats up. :naughty:

I've seen them in a couple MKIIIs. IIRC, they were just an ABS sheet wrapped around two or three sides... I'm sure they are only effective when the car is moving. I can understand the thinking behind it though.
