Anything's better than the stock baffled resonator and muffler combination. Except for straight 2.5" pipe..... my car is WAY too LOUD! I hate it!

3" isn't bad unless you're using a restrictive type noise reduction system... the exhaust cools and slows before it can exit the system. If you're using a straight through muffler and resonator you really shouldn't loose any bottom end torque. Volume is another issue to consider, though. 3" pipe makes for a nice deep, but very loud, sound on an N/A, running dual resonators might help level it out a bit, but it's still probably going to drone like hell around 2K RPM.

Is the turbo exhaust for N/A good? I mean, don't you have to tune the engine then, so it could work right with a bigger exhaust? I mean the engine isn't used to it, right? ( I'm quite a noob when it comes to engines :))

No you dont have to tune the engine to run a larger exhaust!

Ive heard that the turbo exhaust systems are rather good for the NA engines, and make them sound great!

Had 3inch in GF's car was way too loud. Put 2.5 inch with cat and magnaflow... still too loud. Performs a bit better than stock....

Personal Experience here!! I've got a HKS super drager on my car and it's 3inch back from the cat. I barely noticed the drop in low-end torque now that I really think about it, but the exhaust helped the engine breath a lot better in the higher rpms. I could feel the gain after 3500 RPMs. It would just pick up harder and faster, even though its still N/A. Best thing is that I'm still going to use the same exhaust when I hopefully go 1j.

Imagine if you would have had it done propperly and gone 3' fom the exhaust manifold back. I think your'e cutting the complete set up in half if you don't do the pricey end of it. 3 inch pipes behind the cat are for posers....., not enthusiests.

Other than that just stay 2.5 and add a glass pack and say f uck it. You get gains and a nice tone.

Also with that go msd dist cap and msd plug wires, a fresh tune up and air filter and you may be surprised at the difference that alone makes. Don't fall for the dist cap with alluminum points. Get brass.
