yeah its just an overgrown 2003 cavalier either way. the ls2 is a much better design tho, only .3 more liters, 80 more hp, and a better torque curve. its all about the 4 inch bore :3d_frown:
All comes down to preference I guess. I dislike corsa exhaust on lsx motors and I think lt1's sound weak as hell compared to ls1/lsx. The raspiness of that car when revving makes it sound MEAN IMO...and I usually like deeper exhaust notes. Btw...04 GTO = ls1 with 350hp, 05,06=ls2 with 400hp. Theres a love hate outlook on these gto's anyway...
The L98 isnt a shitty motor with shitty heads...........the TPI intake setup is what killed that motor from popularity.......If its a crappy motor.....why does it make more tq than a lt1? or a ls1?

Not sure on exact numbers but the l98 TPI did indeed make more torque at lower rpms than the ls1. Not sure what it is on the lt1 but i know those also made more torque than the ls1. the lt4 is the true champ. lt4 vettes c4s were faster than the first ls1 c5s
