Anyone been ripped off lately on parts!??!

Hey guys, im pretty much startin this thread to see if any of you have been misled into buying parts and got your money stolen....im sure we can come up with some good horror stories!
Here's mine: saw a realy nice intake for my mustang on ebay a while back. Ended up sendin this guy a money order for 90 bucks, part was never to be seen and never answered another email of mine again. WHAT ARE U SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!! WTF

Im sure im not the only one this has happened to...

Exact thing happenned to me about 2 years ago. I sent the money order for $144 for a door shipped to a guy and never saw the part. I waited anxiously for it too, as my 92's driver side door was rusting away with every wash ahaha. You guys might recognize the fella on here, goes by the name dulobast25 I think.

I was grossly mislead. I bought a CT that was supposed to be easily rebuildable. After it was inspected I was told that it looked like it had been ran out of oil several times. I had to buy another shaft for it after I had paid good coin for the whole thing. :nono:

I have never had a bad experience on ebay or anywhere online ever. But I always ask questions and look at past feedback to get an idea of who I am dealing with.. If the seller only had 3 good feeds then I keep looking.. I am also a firm believer in the saying: If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is...

NOOOO I just bought an intake from him on ebay last night...I used paypal though. "Deluboz" was his name...he sent me a tracking number and everything though. Did you ever get ahold of him? get your money back?

Hint, never buy anything from a Supra owner in San Jose.

I remember I bought GT4 from some guy on half.com, guy had his account closed because he never sent any of the 200 video games he sold for around $40. I wish I could choke someone. Half.com didn't do anything.

I "just" bought a RS*R exhaust from MK3troubles. I purchased it in december, and still have nothing. I am not say hes a bad guy, but i dont have an exhaust in my hands, or the money i paid.

This thread is depressing as I'm buying many parts in the next few weeks online.:dunno: I guess I'll just be extra careful.

I've been lucky so far although I do like SF's trader ratings. Very useful, I wish they would implement something like that here also. I always try to see what kind of rep the guy has on the boards before I buy but you usually will get screwed sooner or later no matter how careful you are

I can get ahold of him whenever I want. He's active on this forum and SF and sells parts. I didn't get anything back, and don't think he'll pay me after such a time since I bought it. All i got was his account kicked off ebay, but he simply made a new one as you have shown. Oh well.

Yea Delubozparts on Ebay I believe. Thats pretty scummy that he's still active and selling but doesn't acknowledge you.:nono:

He's told me he'd send me some other parts to make up for it, but those haven't come either. No surprise tho.
My only advice for people using ebay: Get paypal or bidpay.

Paypal works up to 30 days after you send payment. I remember one guy, it was four weeks after I bought something from him, then he said, "oops, I sent it to the wrong address, will send it out again." Then 3 months later, he has like 20 negatives and 80 positives. So the guy is still in business. Never received another email

David teti owned me for 400+ USD for eibach pro lowering springs and a hks tems unit. Scammed me into thinking that he would get the parts off his car during the 30 day period.

Edit: slowpoopra7m on this forum I think... he was respectable tpp :S

wow. i have yet to have a bad problem yet. the guy i got my car from tried to buy a lexus afm and 550 injectors from oversea'a. 2 years later and nothing. cc company didnt do anything. ebay did nothing.

im keeping my eyes open from now on.

didn't mean to depress anyone lol i actually am buying alot of parts the next few weeks too and wanted to find out some of the shit that goes on loately with buying parts...im sure this thread could go on forever.GLUCK everyone with the assholes lookin to scam on us!
