anybody running a holset turbo on thier supra?

My friend recommened that i use a diesel holset turbo if im on a tight budget because they are really cheap and they are even better than garrett.(at least for the price)

he says he has some friends with them and they pull hard!!

i just want to know if any one her on these forum was running one if you are tell me how it feels under boost. post pictures of your setup!!

yes you can use a holset, i have one in my car from a dodge 5.9 works fine,the only problem i have
is that my car starts to break up after about 17-18lbs some times,
i don't beleave its related at all to the turbo,im sure it is because i have no wide-band in and no tune on the car.

cool man.i have a wideband and a safc2 running my stock ct-26.if im tuned correctly i should be able to putdown some nice numbers i just want around 350 for now until i can handle the power.then i might crank the boost a little.

is that a 2j that you have there or a 1j? looks like a 2j to me.what kind of numbers are you putting down?

its just a little 1j as far as power i dont know every one else says its crazy fast, i don't know what to think its definitely my quickest car ever though,gonna tune and change manifold in two weeks
