The HKS filters were actually updated so they aren't that bad... But that still didn't stop me from buying an APEX'I after i bought an HKS. Plus i needed a bit more clearance up in the front.

There was a debate that that test was a stunt to kill off the popularity of the HKS filters though...supra90turbo said:Which is correct, but you still didn't follow me.
In the link I posted, it shows that the Apex-i Power Intake is much better than the K&N, so if you're in the market for a new intake, why not buy the Apex-i?

People crying photoshop and wanting proof... is it so fucking hard to believe?
you don't toss it, it basically doesn't need cleaning. I just spray some compressed air inside mine from time to time.bgrieger said:Is there a cleaning procedure for the apexi, or do you spend all that money to toss it in a couple of seasons...I've always chosen K&N as it can be cleaned every couple of years, although it is not by far the "ultimate" in filtration.
supra90turbo said:Step one: Install in trash.
Step two: buy an Apex-i power intake or AEM dryflow filter that will actually work.
Step three: Stand back and enjoy your new filter, knowing that it'll actually be filtering the air.
