went to my local car show on friday and some guy had a really nice black fox body stang that was black with green flames.when i walked closer the flames turned purple yellow green blue red and mayb a few others.the actual black had some blue flake in it .i walk up to the owner and compliment him about how much i like the paint and he tells me he diid it himself and he paints cars.i am in serious need of a paint job.

so i ask him how much would a job like that cost he told me some # of thousands.then i asked him how much a black paint job with some blue flake would cost he told me 400 to spray if i bring my own paint and clear.i was wow really.he then tells me that the flake is actually crushed blue glass i was like what:aigo:thats awsome .so thats the paint i want now btw the flake is provided with the job .i just wanted to tell you what kinda paint job ima get.:icon_bigg any1 in the forums have this kinda paint job? if ya do plZZ PUT UP SOME PICTURES

Ater reading super.secret.supra.club's response i do agree these are the things that cause the term "collectors item" 2 deviate from the car usually i see white, black, red, maroon, light blue, grey, and brown color 4 mkIII supras as original paint. Guys when re-painting sometimes deviate but stay as close to original as possible like the cherry widebody post maroon color paint job nice work on that car by the way. My best friend has a tangerine paint job on his supra he went with house of kolor. No graphics though I have not seen many supras (mkIII's that is) with painted graphics or decals for that matter. I do agree don't hurt the supra but if u must have the flames don't go with any flake paints at all. I live in NY and some cat out in long island has a chameleon paint job nice and well done as I have seen it. But 2 to flashy 4 an MKIII supra that's the point I am trying 2 make. I don't want 2 knock beachsupra's idea I will ask my friend for a pic and post it 4 u 2 c beachsupra. Also consider what these paint jobs cost $$$$ upwards of 4000 when get into flake type stuff I am taking an autobody and paintwork course @ an automotive jus 2 learn 2 do that type of stuff myself. Cause u can get cheaper than u normally would from a professional shop doesn't mean u will get pro quality. Also a paint job on a stang may not look the same on a supra. It's a supra so if this is what u want make sure u go for quality.

I need a paint job want 1 of the above (links r pics)
1 is 2009 cadilac CTS-V white
and
1 is 2009 cadilac CTS-V grey
will b getting one of these paint job's I love the white but can't decide look at the links suggestions please which one would look better on a MKIII supra currently my car is blue/grey the stock color original paint
super.secret.supra.club what do u think
thanks 4 the help in advance
Also a little off topic the reason I am considering paint is cause the head blew. does any1 know if a JDM 7M-GTE would fit perfect or would I have 2 reloc the battery 2 the trunk I had a USDM motor and am currently in the middle of having it rebuilt may save it 4 later if possible my mechanic buy a jdm for now and rebuild original late as i wanna drive the car again ASAP. But can u keep the battery in the hood with a jdm 7m-gte.

Wow, I tried to read the first of these two posts and gave up. One to many run on sentences for me to care about the validity of your side of the issue.

Moral of the story: If it is difficult to read ones posts, they will be overlooked automatically. This means that regardless of the content of your posts, you can't convince me.

actually i dont like flames that much .my paint job is just gona be a gloss black or silver with either metal flake or glass flake of the same size .dont worry i wontt be putting any graphics or flames on my car .i will b doing the body work with my friend at home his dad did all the body work on his 2 mach1 mustangs and sprayed himself and they came out beautiful so he will also be helping me. no body kit for me i have a mint condition pre 89 front bumper in my garage which is goin on when i paint my car.

trust me i hate the word ricer in every sence of the meaning.to b a ricer in my opinion is in a simple steps u have to b slow have a big ass plastic wing some shitty rims cut springs a shitty ass sound system that has absolutley no sound quality stickers out the ass and a fuckn ugly ass body kit and a fart can exhaust to top it off i think i have it all covered.trust me i love to eat rice and so does my car:biglaugh:

If you do a good metal flake the result is very nice. But if you do what you propose, I will be forced to shun you and your Supra until it is repainted and you have made other amends. My paint has a ton of metal flake and looks pretty decent, and my paint job was a semi-half-assed job. But like others have said, do what you wish since it's your Supra and you should never build a car for anyone else if it's yours. I respect the work that people put into low-riders and admire their creativity, but hate their style.

And as Sawbladz said, without propper grammar you will instantly come off as an idiot and will result in people like me pre-judging you before even considering what you say.
