I have '00 Celica seats. Had to make a bracket for the inside rear though. Not the best pic, but you can search for what they look like if you really want to ;)

seats from a 95 to 02 integra bolt into the mk3 supra just fine other then the inner rear bolt but the seats are still firm and dont move around.

gsr came with black, grey and tan leather seats. also the RSX seats will bolt in since they share the same bolt setup.

I'm confused - did one type of integra seat bolt in better than the other? From your two posts, sounded like one seat missed the inner rear and the other matched perfect.. ?

I'm very interested in doing something like this because the rails on my drivers seat are worn and the seat has a tendency to slip on take-offs and hard brakes. But I am concerned about the safety factor with these other seats. If you can't bolt it in properly, or you have to rig the rails, is it safe in an accident situation?

I also assume that you are using manual seats, because electrical ones won't wire up correctly - or am I wrong? Manual is fine for me because I'm the only one that drives the car, so the seat is rarely adjusted.

Honestly, I would just get a nice set of aftermarket, folding, reclining Recaro's. Buy one at a time if you have to. They're really not that expensive.

Some things to keep in mind:
-Make sure you're not modifying anything to the point of being unsafe.
-Even missing "one bolt hole" is NOT an option. There are FOUR for a reason.
-If you're not good at fabricating, have a race shop fabricate brackets to get your seats mounted and secured properly.
-Make sure the seatbelts are in the proper location when wrapping around you+ the seat. (not too high, or too low.

Seatbelt anchor is critical in our cars....

The anchor as far as the one on the seat itself?

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but this leads to my next question. How does one know if their 18 yr old seat belts will work properly in an accident? Is there an aftermarket alternative? Especially since my airbag is disconnected, I would want a good set of seat belts.

Yep the one on the seat Tracy.

Should still be able to buy genuine belts, if they look worn/frayed and don't lock with a quick tug or when the car is on an angle they need replacing.

The seat brackets should be fine as long as there welded and bolted down properly. I use to slide my 240 all the time with custon rails and they were stronger that my factory imo. As far as the aftermarket seat buying... In an mkIII I would take the steaps to replace my headgasket before spendiing 350+ dollars on seats, Thats why I would likw to see if anyone has some decient seats in there car.

I went to the Toyota dealer recently to try and buy some new belts but was told that only grey (which will look like shit in my car), is still available.

Has anyone heard different? If so, what colors, and where?

Would be very easy to dye them black or navy blue. Its not worth the trouble of going to a junkyard for another 18-20 yr old set.

Why on earth would you want to replac. I personally haven't come across a more comfortable seat in any car, and I'm in $200,000+ Bentleys daily...

The only excuse I can think of to warrant replacing the seats would be for weight saving for track use, and in that case you wouldn't dream of putting in an OEM seat (at least I hope not)

A semi related question - How much adjustabilty is electric on USDM seats? Is it a matter of having a full range of funtions, or is it limited to backrest and backwards and fowards motions only? UKDM car only had electric lumbar support, the rest is all manual :(

can anyone confirm that rsx seats will fit? I think someone would do it for the looks/ease of install vs changing the material on the seats or custom fitting race seats. I believe i have heard that Teg and civic seats are swapable, and in this thread that teg and rsx are the same...so?

S2000 seats work, just require minor modification.

How minor? any cutting/welding? the s2k has very nice seats as well. The only problem i can see is having back seats that match lol
