Any insight on my stock gauges?

Hello,

I have an 87 supra turbo, that has a jdm engine swap.

The oil pressure, fuel, and boost gauges are not working properly. Both oil pressure and fuel needels just stay at the bottom, while the fuel warning light will light up if I am very low on fuel. The boost gauge will go to 0 once I turn my car on, and it just sits there without changing ever.

So I replaced the oil pressure sender with a used stock USDM version, I replaced the fuel level sender, and the stock boost pressure sender, and that didn't change anything. So, I then picked up a used gauge cluster from an 87 turbo supra. I installed that today, and still those three gauges are not operating correctly.

I have checked the gauge fuse and it appears ok. I am at a lost for what to do next.

Does anyone have any ideas to point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

You did what i would have done, all i can suggest is follow each wire back to the ecu and make sure nothing was severed or knocked loose during the swap.

I believe the JDM and USDM oil pressure senders are different on the 7M...you will probably have to get a US oil pressure sensor to drive your US gauge.

And for the boost gauge, check that a vac line is connected to the pressure sensor on the drivers side fender in the engine bay,

Yeah, In the first post i mentioned that i replaced the JDM sensor with a USDM sensor, still didnt work.

I have checked and replaced vac lines.

The coolant, Tach, and Speed gauges all work great, just the three gauges on the right side don't.

I really just want to get the fuel gauge working, but I would assume that all three have a similar problem.

I replaced the JDM sensor with the USDM before i changed out the gauge cluster. And still didnt work.

I have 2 gauge clusters, 2 boost pressure senders, 1 jdm OP sensor, 1 USDM sensor, 2 fuel level senders.

I have been mixing and matching with the same final results. Must be some wires messed up or something.

Yeah, it'll fry the heater in the gage. The USDM sensor and gage are a matched set that depend on each other because of the principle behind how they work.
