wondering if anybody had any thought's or maybe some pic's of thing's they've done in the past.

i've recently done a couple of cam cover's for a couple of honda guy's.they handed me the powder's they wanted and they were out of my comfort zone.well for my car anyway's.i ended up doing both cover's and thought they looked great once pulled from the oven.i still wasn't sure what they would look like on the car's,but both make a nice statement.

all this made me think of trying something with mine.i usually stay with silver, grey, black and polish most of the time.my car is red and my coupler's are all blue(came with ic kit),which keep's me on the dull color's.

i did coat my cam cover's,but they are more of a stock looking color.the car's not ready for the road and it won't cost anything to change.i'm not trying to steal anybody's idea's.the only color that jump's out at me is the black chrome, which might "POP" nice with the existing color's in the bay.

how it sit's now

candy teal used on a friend's civic.i thought this was more of a girly color at first, but actually like it alot on his car.

sorry for the long post, maybe i'm bored with my car.some of the area's of my car that need attention are just to costly right now

They all 3 look really good. Just please don't tell me that is your welding expertise on that teal cover.
i've never done any welding.the welder did have a little bit of trouble with the fitting's.the car owner didn't clean the cover well or even sand the coating off the fitting's.

here's "Tony the Tiger"'s engine bay..

he said he was going for a ferrari look...
i've seen his engine pic before.it's deffinatly thinking outside the box.never seen a pressure gauge on the oil feed to the turbo or painting the coil cover two different color's.

the stock coil cover is a weird ass color.some funky army green shit going on.mine is brand new and i'm not ready to spray it.i have a spare, but there's a window for the cam gear's cut out of it.

My candy blue/black powdercoating:
i do alot with the mirror black myself.i almost did my plenum too,but ended up polishing it to go with the turbo cover.those two color's go good well.
have you ever seen the black chrome?it's like a translucent color that's backed with argent silver or reflective chrome .i'm thinking it will look like my work meister's and might be good for my cam cover's

all translucent color's should be backed with silver.you could do silver, then the candy blue, and finish it off with the gold.it might end up looking greenish or a teal color.
