Antenna Wire Location...

I did just pull the HU to see what was up and was delighted to find the questions I was about to ask were already answered here 
The big connector was in the back of the unit and the small one is loose. The reception totally sucks and is the same as if the antenna is unplugged, is there any other connections between the HU and the antenna in the back fender?

Crap.... I dont get it then, I should be able to get hundreds of stations and all I get is 1 Spanish station. That would be ok, but my Spanish sucks, and I can only handle mariachi music so long.

Well, you could always test it. Ohm from the ant to cable end and ant to ground. Or test the cable by itself. Look for continuity of the center conductor and shorts from center to shield.
The fender antenna shows open, the window antenna shows some continuity but not a dead short, I believe with that style of antenna there will be continuity tho if I'm not mistaken.
