well i got my rebuilt head off cylinder head international and got around to measuring it...my digital caliper reads 115.47mm. I know stock is 116 mm.with the the stock size hg being 1.37mm a 2.0mm mhg would be .10 mm over sized right? i guess this is better than undersized?

Would .10mm over screw cam timing?

Also does anyone know how to measure block deck height?

that I have no idea!! How much metal came off the deck? If it is only a few mm then I doubt its much issue..if it was only decked to clean up then I can't see them takeing off much more then .50 mm which isnt that much and I doubt that would even show on a dyno!

I take it your not running a metal head gasket? If it was only rebuilt once and they used a regular head gasket then I doubt the deck was done... They may have ran a stone over it to dress it up but that wouldnt make a difference... Sounds to me like your set and kinda stressing yourself out wanting to be perfect but toyota gives ampel clearance for such things and I am sure your well within tolerance!!! Get that son of a bitch running LOL!

yes i am using a mhg and they used a stiock hg when they rebuild it.I mite be stressing out but i do want the damn thing perfect!

the stock pistons are suppose to stick out the block a little when installed, without the gasket.if they stick out further than .012"-.020" then the block is shaved....

ok i'll just order a 2.0mm and be done with it :icon_bigg

There is a measurement floating around on here somewhere for the block. Measured from the crank sadle to the block surface. I'll see if i can find it.

Edit: its 198.5mm stock
