Title says it all and the pictures explain what cly they are from. they pretty much all look exactly the same im under the understanding the black around the base means a rich idle and the whiteish gray is ok but some have said its lean at WOT. im not detonating at all its runnin great i just wondered what you guys think. I might pick up a wide band even tho im n/a its still a useful tool if you wanna keep your engine in one peice. plus i can always use it when i wanna go n/a-t! :biglaugh:

anyways heres the pics. I wanna say the plugs are too hot of a range.

that screw is supposed to hold a round clip for the that egr beside the bolt.

whats fucked up is where i found the bolt.....it was sitting on top of my fuel rail just chilling over #5 injector. who knows how long its been there this car has never had a bracket on the EGR thing.

The only thing is see wrong is your using platinums. i might catch some crap for this but there just a waste of money, and just uneeded added stress to your coil if ya ask me.

dont point the finger at me for it i didnt put them in if i did they sure as hell wouldnt be platniums or bosch plugs.

ive learned better, from this place of course. :)

IJ what could be causing that?

Im not burning oil so thats one out of the 3 from the picture that has a list that empera posted im not completely sure on fuel i coulda gotten a bad batch. or it could be mixed with the old fuel it had about an 8th of a tank of 3-4 month old fuel in it when i filled up.

Im not exactly sure what they mean by operating period do they mean like short distances or extended hard runs?

From the pics (cant tell very well) it looks like they're too hot, the color change on the ground strap should be 1/2 through the bend and they look closer to the base ring.

The ceramic looks a little dirty its probably just the oil that burning as you say.

Hopefully im not burning any oil at all i shouldnt be and the fact that theres no smoke smell or loss of level should back that up?

I do beleive they are 1-2 ranges higher heat than stock. when i put new ones in ill go back to the stock heat range and see if that helps.

Thanks guys.
