Sorry guys, I tried to post on the other one, but the thread was over 185 days old. I posted anyway, but with no reply. So my ? is; if I have a blown USDM 7M-GTE and buy a JDM 7M-GTE, is there anything I have to do besides swap over my US parts to make everything run and fit right?

Swap the EGR system over on it, unless you get one with harness and ECU.

Everything else will work good for you.

I had a JDM motor in my '88 and sadly it had rod knock on it at low miles. I bought it from someone who I was pretty sure beat the hell out of it though.

In the other thread though some of the guys were saying something about a return heater hose or something, but I didn't know if they had to deal with that problem because they didn't have another engine to pull off of.

You can use your coolant hard line from your motor.
