I've always wanted to build an early Monaro (69>70 model) and transplant ALL of my Supra's Running gear into it ie: Front and rear suspension complete with brakes Diff trans steering and motor!

I think this would make an awesome sleeper!

I was sad the toyota chaser wasn't in the movie more :[

Why did they not have a jza70 or jza80, in japan supra's are popular for drift and togue and most people there into the seen run 99 or older vehicles, not vielside rx7's, 350Z's and 67 mustangs with ricer rims. I wanna see them drift an MR2, Soarer, chaser more, or even a freaking all trac. LOL

I'm really suprised they didn't have the main character drive an AE86, to give him more of an "underdog" type of status. It really made me mad how they kept handing him highly modified showroom condition cars. The movie was really dominated by Nissans.

I thought the storyline was kind of badly explained. But I'm glad they didnt focus 70% on the love story like the first one, and more on the stunts.

Supras aren't exactly popular for mountain driving...

no one's gonna be drifting an all trac either. :\

I was reading SCC at the grocery store today, and they had some "fun facts" on the movie.
They went through 2,000 tires during filming. imported like 7 silvia's, none of which actually had an RB26 in them. Mitsubishi donated like 9 brand new EVO 9's which were converted to RWD. Volk donated something like 40 rims.
They also dyno'd the cars, the Twin Turbo 350Z had 430 to the wheels, the RB "stang had 340. and the chicks RX8 had 190 haha.

I like that car a lot, though the muffler is totally unsuitable for a a nice car.
