:1zhelp: sorry guys i know its been talked about a million and a half times. but i dont know. i have had code 52 since i bought this car, i bought a rewire kit from shaeff, and broke the sensor behind the starter, so i bought a known working one and replaced it. still have the code. i rechecked the connections, and regrounded it. still code 52. but the wierd thing is i only get the code after the engine is reved to about 5000 rpm. i can go 2,3,4 k rpm and nothing, 5000 is the magic numba. wouldnt the ecu see that there is no communication immediatly, not wait till 5k? the next thing i will do is replace my other ks. i dont have an osilloscope to check them the right way. but could i connect both wires to one known working sensor? would that work? idk. thanks

Mike

Good luck with this Mike. I had the same problem and never got it solved. Mine would come on at about two grand though and not wait until five. I ended up just jumping a wire between the two KS wires by the ecu and it won't come on anymore. I know it's probably not a good thing, but I was tired of it running like shit. The knocksensors are new, the wiring was bought brand new from Shaeff, and the engine is brand new. There's no reason for the thing to act this way, and I even tried my ecu out of my 91 and it still did it.

I'm willing to bet you're getting some noise at the connections or a bad pin on the harness side of the ecu connector.

I told you that I have mine done like that, but it can't be safe. I know the knocksensors are there for a reason, but if it tears up, then it tears up. I'm about ready for another 1jz swap anyways................:biglaugh:
