I'm not here to make friends. Already have plenty. I'm here to offer tech advice. For that you're welcome and I hope it helped. You might want to Google voltage drop testing and learn something that could've resolved your frustration long ago. Ask if you need more help but don't expect hand holding. Good luck. Btw, if you honestly think everyone here is an adult you've got bigger problems than I can solve...
Drove her around all day today and had NO problems. I'm pretty damn confident this was the problem. The starter relay mod is a must if you're having the troubles I was. Very simple to do.

Well, it's good the problem is gone but you treated the symptom and not the disease. In other words a hack. I dunno what that guy is talking about concerning UK cars but there's no inherent design flaw in the USDM starter circuit. He also demonstrates a limited understanding of things electrical. Anyway, although it's only one sample my 87 has never suffered this problem. Maybe they changed something in later years or maybe it's because I keep everything electrically sound. Whatever works for you is fine though. It's your car.
How much of the original thread did you read? He explains the differences between UK and US cars a bit in there. Specifically the UK cars not having an auto theft feature and no starter relay in the passenger footwell. It was either that or replace that starter solenoid wire (with the brown connector), and from the look of it I would have to go through a bunch of wiring harness...
I read all of his post. As I said, he demonstrates limited electrical knowledge. I guess my question was do you have a UK car? Not that it matters much because your problem has been resolved. Maybe.
