So I was searching around for some -an fitting and stumbled upon this:

I don't mind paying for aeroquip's fittings but you pay half the price just for two from aeroquip. Compared to what this guy is asking. You guys see any difference in them. Maybe its not real anodized, or theres leak issues? I don't know, they look like they'll work. Has anyone ordered these before?

Generally, those type of fittings are for one particular type of hose (push-on) and I don't think they are offered in steel braded. I have used that kind of fittings for my power steering cooler lines with no problems. But I used the blue purosil hose with them and still clamped them to be safe. I can't comment on the quality of those actual fittings though. HTH.

I have the sockless hoses ready for install, and as with all things sold on ebay. There's always a question or two of concern, you know:icon_smil . Wholesale prices are always good though. How do you think they'll do for oil lines?

PuskLok is fine as long as you use the proper hose and stay within the temp and pressure specs. You don't have to use AQ. Earls, Summit, there are others. Btw that ebay stuff is Chinese if that matters.

i bought fittings from that guy.i have earls and russel too.i really don't see any differance to be honest.there all aluminum, not steel.i bought a lot like that, except it was for 20.he ended up shipping me 24 fittings and he ships fast.i'm using aeroquip socketless hose with them on my catch can.he had twist fit on there also, which i'm using for my turbo oil return

Remember, you get what you pay for. Any manufacturer that's not willing to put their name on their product probably doesn't care enough to make a good product. What you get for the money from Aeroquip is fittings matched to hoses so they're guaranteed to work together. I wouldn't buy these without being able to inspect them in person. Sure, they look pretty, but how are those welds? Is the inside smooth? Are they sized right for the hose? You just can't tell what they're made of, either. They may not be tempered right. Is the AN seating angle within tolerance? etc, etc.

My 2 cents.

There's no conversion kit, but adapter fittings exist. I think the cold start is 14x1.5mm (though it could be 14x1.25mm...I haven't checked in a while). Earls, russell and aeroquip all have the sizes. I find one of the best bang for the buck is Summit racing's house brand stuff.

im not asking for a conversion kit...im asking if AN sizes for example -6 has a metric equilvalant...I need a plug for the coldstart but all i see are -6, -10, etc, etc, kind of fittings.
