In case you haven't figured it out, and that seems to be the case, try the fittings on what? If the poster has something to say or offer, then do it. Don't drop a link that I am not going to read.

there are many ways of cutting a AN hose, using a chizzle on a table corner seems to work, i never tried it. i used a metal grinder personally, a chop saw works wonders also, just tape the area before you cut to reduce fraying. die grinder will work also but doing a straight cut is kinda tuff.. all ways are the right way

I went the other day to a race shop to buy some stainless steel 10an and they cut it with at Bolt cutter. It was a Clean cut too. Good luck with the DIY AN lines.

speaking off.. this is not MKIII tech.

This is general stuff applicable to any car AND to any of the hoses that use AN fittings. So moving to MKIII general until I can find a better home for this.

Yet they'll spend tons of money on SS braided lines that aren't needed...

I was thinking almost the same thing. I have fixed many A/C systems in the past where the wheels are ready to fall off. It isn't just a Supra thing.

I just use pushlok, you don't get the fancy SS braid (you could put a sleeve over it if you really wanted to), but it does convert to AN.
