So I just had an idea (happens alot, I'm constantly thinking about random things). Thought this one was good and wanted to see what you guys think.
First of all I believe that the innocence of a child is sacred, and I will do anything to protect it.
The amber alert system is set up to make people aware that a child has been abducted to help rescue the child. I think we can do more.
Almost everyones phone is picture message capable. As soon as a child goes missing, everyone enrolled in the free program is sent pic(s) of the child gone missing. As well as a text of vital info, such as a decscription of the boy or girl, where he or she was last seen any any other crucial info (such as the type of vehicle he or she was taken in.) This way the people out in the world immediately know what happened and who to look for.
You could enroll in the program online, at a cellular store, or over your cell phone. The program would be completely free and cell providers could get a tax credit as well as PR marketing for participating.
People are far less prone to act when they are uncertain. If they have pic(s) of the boy or girl they can much more easily identify the child which would give them the certainty to call the police and intervene if necesary. This program would be very inexpensive to implement as we already have the technology, we just have to use it.
Let me know what you guys think, as well as any additions/suggestions you may have. Also if someone knows how to go about making this happen I would like to hear it.
