Am I doing the right thing by pointing this out?

Well, after 8 months of waiting for my entire order to show up and many attempts to get any answers after the 7 month mark and 4 months after I received any parts, I'm wondering what the experiences other people have had with 935 Motorsports. If you ask me, 8 months is more than patient and waiting for more than past 3 weeks for a response to an update thread I posted here. I just can't believe an order, let alone an update should this long. I was ok with the service I received with the first few parts of my order I received, but I'm still missing over 80% of my $2,342.00 order which adds up to $1214.00. On 11/22/2005 my order was changed to a "VIP Large Order". I've yet to recieve any service that remotely classifies as a VIP. Anyways, I think you guys have the jist of what I've dealt with and maybe this thread will help some others if they're contemplating placing an order with 935 Motorsports, hell, maybe it'll help me with getting the rest of my order. I don't want to say this is typical of 935, but I just wanted to point out my personal experience.

Thats is ridiculous, I have never got anything from 935 but I have always heard good things about them. That sucks sorry to hear about that. I have ordered a few things from SupraSport I received my products pretty quickly and they had good response time on questions. Maybe their is an explanation for it. However 8 months should be ample time to get orders out in my opinion. Good luck getting your parts or $$ refunded.

That is crazy. If you spend over 2 grand on parts, they should get them to you asap because if you are spending that kind of money at one time, who is to say you wont do it again? If i owned a company and someone spent over 2 thou. on parts from me, i would send them really fast because I would want that person to shop with my company again. I hope it all works out for you, but 8 months is way too long to wait for parts.

wow
that's shitty
i see that type of behaviour with the idividual scammer on some forums, but never with a business.
that's just rediculous, and unacceptable.
i would ask for a partial refund at the least to cover some of your losses, cause that is too much of a wait, wasn't like it was coming from japan or something

i've had a similar experience unfortunately, but no where near as long as you. funny thing is my parts were "parting out" parts so they were obviously in stock yet he couldn't be bothered to ship them for 2 months until i disputed with my credit card company. my credit card company only allows 2 months for disputes so i really had no choice unless i wanted to take the chance of being ripped off.

personally i will never do business with anyone if they can not ship out goods within a week and require upfront billing.

if you let them bill you.... then 5 months later say "hey dude where's my stuff?" you just lost your right to dispute with paypal, your credit card company and/or your bank depending how you paid... because you can only have the right to dispute for so long.

if a merchant tells you "i need to bill your card now and order your parts" they're not a legit merchant. let them order it on their own dime and bill you when it comes in. if they can't do that, they're not a legitimate merchant in my eyes.

i'm a merchant myself, i sell jewelry online and i have to make custom order stuff that take 4+ weeks to make all the time like platinum wedding rings, diamond bracelets, etc for people, but i never bill them until i ship their merhcandise.

so as far as getting the rest of your merchandise, looks like you're out of luck and have to "trust" they will ship it to you now....... good luck, and i hope you get everything you paid for.

Anyway, 8 months is BULLSHIT! I would be pissed if it were 8 DAYS and no word... If you dont have my parts in stock, TELL ME! You spend that kind of money, you better be treated with a little more respect than that... It doesnt suprise me much, because they totally forgot who I was after about 3 weeks... I just quit talking to them and went with someone who WANTED to take care of me... And no, yur not the only person Ive heard complain about them...

If I were you, I would have them refund ALL my money...

If I were them, I would bend over BACKWARDS to make you happy... And I'd throw in some free shit just for the bullshit head ache I gave you and for being so incompetent...

I totally agree. I saw a post a while ago that it took someone around 6 months to get their parts from them in a large order, so I was being quite patient, actually too patient. I just really hope that they don't screw me over like born2drv said. I've kinda been in a pinch for cash over the last year so I'm still needing a few more parts in addition to the ones I ordered from 935. I should get some sleep though. I think I broke a rib or two on friday and I gotta work in the morning. Thanks for your opinions.

Zach, my last contact with you was that I had all but a couple of pieces ready to ship.

I want to clear up a couple of things.

First, up front payment is not required for any order.

Second, Zach purchased flat rate shipping. This means $40 shipping for as many items as you can throw in a single order. When this is done, all of the items are gathered up and sent in a single box. This means that if 1 item is delaying the entire order, all will wait.

I can assure you that HPF or other "real stores" will not send you 13 items for $40, including springs, radiator, and manifold.

However, I will be sending Zach all of the items that I have on hand Monday. A couple of items are missing, and this goes against my usual policy, but I will get them out. I agree that the overall time frame is past what would be acceptable. I realize that Zach is getting nervous, otherwise he wouldn't have posted on Sunday.

Zach, if you get a chance, give me a call and we can work out any remaining issues.

So, why was my shipping adjusted to something along the lines of $100 when I placed the order? Also, I think there should be some sort of explanation of your flat rate shipping option, if I would have known it was going to take this long to get this sorted out, I would have paid however much for shipping.

Um, why do I have 4 parts of it then? Kind of contradictory?

I'll give you a call tomorrow. I've tried to call you a couple times, left messages everytime, and never received a call back.

with all due respect for 935, its very hard to run a 1-man show, i know because i do too.... there's nothing wrong with it... at first i had pissed off customers too, i had poor communication, etc. i hope i've fixed those problems...

its very hard to achieve that perfect balance between competitive prices, quality products and good service. most businesses lack in one of those 3 when you think about it and i think he has the first 2 down, but the last is lacking as is in most smaller or 1-man operations. hopefully he gets it sorted out because i'm the type of person who will buy anything for my car and i would like to support all vendors that make products for the mk3 including 935 eventually.

Also you should give them a break if they are trying to get u a deal for $40 shipping for everything.. that sounds like a steal.. 935 may have to look into a different shipping module if it becomes more of a problem..

i love buying stuff from 935 they were quick to ship my stuff out and helpful when i ran into problems..

sucks that you had to wait 8 months i would have wrote them a message or better yet called them after a week...

i think our society is switching away from personal contact and more towards email and such which has its perks but is also bad....

Zach, my site does not have a shipping explanation and that is my fault. Because of that, I will be shipping all items as I get them for your situation.

I shipped you 4 parts right away because they are drop ships, and drop ships do not count against the main shipping package since it is the same for them to ship to you or me.

I have updated your order with the current status.
