If there's a thread like this that has already been posted, link to it, i couldn't find it.

I'm going to get (tax return) a couple 60mm gauges, I'd like to see some ideas of where to mount them, other than on the pillar... Has to be an easy to see location (NO GLOVEBOX)

So post up the pics!

most common places other than the pillar are the cigarette lighter hole and on top of the steering column...some also put them in the vents

i'll be custom mounting my gauges in my gauge cluster, replacing the existing gauges, like jimi did. all the "important" gauges, such as oil pressure, water temp, boost, and wideband will be mounted in an easily visible spot. the stuff such as volt meter, oil temperature (ive got a 180* t-stat) and other stuff will be mounted where the climate control unit is.

the climate control unit will be relocated in the passenger side dash, because i dont constantly adjust the temperature. the debut will be this spring/summer. i cant wait!

all you have to do is get the 60mm gauges, remove the front bezel and lens, then dissect your stock guage cluster. then, affixe the new gauges to the back of the stock guage cluster for a stockish appearance. itll be teh win. either that, or pop out your passengerside dash trim/vent. to do so, remove your glove box assy. then reach behind the dash, and pop the trim piece out on the right side, itll hinge out on the left side, then carefully remove the rubber tube from the Auto AC feed back vent. you can now easily cut holes in your dash for new guages.

52mm, some trimming is needed on the end "hole", it is smaller than the others.

the cup was like,...$15 @ pepboys, and it is mounted w/ 2 screws, straight to the plastic. just test fit it w/ the gauge in it, mark it and use 2 "short" self tapping screws. i drilled pilot holes first, slightly smaller than the screws, so i wouldn`t crack the plastic. if you use screws that are too long, you might hit the combo switch!

Made this tonight. I took my spare black steering column cover, hacked my $12 civic a pillar pod in half, and glassed it on. It's 52mm, but the same concept. Took a while because I didn't add anough hardener. D'OH!
