Well I did talk to some company a while back about ceramic coating. I think the method they used would work... I can call them and ask them about it. I had it done to my pistons and valves on my first supra.

ROFLMAO gotta agree here get ya dumpy arse to the gym and quit trying to make the car light !! <jk>s383mmber1 said:or you could just purchase a big exhaust, then just maybe visit club fit, if your REALLY concerned about weight!:biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Reign_Maker said:Gym costs $60 a month... That's $720 a year... I could buy a really SWEET hood with that... lol...
But then again, I could quit eating, save some money there, while losing weight, then I could afford that sweet light weight exhaust!
Want a burger?
NAAAH! Im savin up for my exhaust!
wh0wants2know said:instead of saving up for exhaust, just look around in the for-sale section and you can find some great deals. I just bought a 3.5" custom exhaust with a titanium tip for $175 from some guy on SF . . .oh wait. . . . :biglaugh:
LOL like I said it's real light if it's a melted puddle under the carGrimJack said:This thread is funny as hell in my books.
The other problem with Aluminum is that it doesn't have the infinite springy quality that good steel provides. Every grade of AL has a different Y-modulus - the measurement of how much repetetive flexing it will take before cracking, in very simple terms. So, in short, even the best AL exhaust, unless you can completely eliminate flex, will have a definite lifespan.
Of course, none of this would matter if it melted in the first day.
