Depends on the year integra. Techincly the RSX is an Integra (but they went to shitty McPherson struts instead of the double wishbone suspension of the old ones).

the dc5 is trash compared to a dc2 or da9 with a proper suspension set up.

Yep, the DC2 is the one I'm thinking of that's an absolute monster of a car and it defies the fact it's FWD  Sadly a Type R is either expensive as hell and stock, ragged to hell out of, or modded to high heaven...

Not to mention Honda/Acura has been making their cars worse and worse. Case in point:

I know the owner of a Type R that lives down the street infront of the house. Recaro seats... thing doesn't make much powar. He's planning to turbo it to make "350 WHP" I doubt he'll achieve his goal...

for that kind of power he would have to ditch the stock 11:1 cr pistons for either gs-R pistons which are 10:1 cr or get aftermarket 9:1 cr pistons. tuning with boost on 11;1 would be a pita.

My irst "real" car was a 96 dc2 gs-R. intake/header/exhasut, coilovers and larger swaybar. it handled great. i currently have a 93 gs (da9) that i have some supspenion stuff waiting to go on. im hoping that it will handle as good as the dc2

Yah, he's just going to slap on the turbo kit without changing internals... Hope his "buddy" can tune it right... I doubt he'll get the fuel system running right. Chances are he's going to have take out melted pistons.. Around here we don't have much performance shops let alone dynos that i know about. we have to travel to Tulsa for a dragstrip (2 Hours) hopefully they know what theyre doing. 99% of the Honda owners in this place are RICERS & ill never stress this enough.. RICERS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :3d_frown:

Here's something to argue over. Run this full screen - follow the instructions:

its the same way here in rural/suburban ohio. plenty of civics and and other imports with ebay spoilers, and fartcans. and they are all NOT modified properly. i looked at an 89 hatch with a b16a3 swap before i got my 93 teg. the wire harness was all hacked up and the ecu was just laying on the floorboards. the guy still wanted 3 grand for it. then i went and looked at the teg i have now have. b20b swap, looks almost factory.

Man, if I had a real Type-R I wouldn't turbo it, the motor is a nice screamer stock, and there are tons of better upgrade paths. It's a waste of the rare motor, might as well buy a normal Integra to boost as it would be easier and cheaper. Dunno why you need 350HP in a FWD car though, would screw up the awesome balance those cars have in power and handling (whole package, if you're going for big power for straight line in a FWD car you're doing it wrong or you're trying to prove something).

Oh, and Mike, that was way too fucking creepy. That's as bad as the Doritos commericals these days, and both are terrible advertising since it's a kind of food and they both make you go "EWWWWWWWWWW"

Didn't i say 99% were ricers? & 99% of the owners think Honda is the best & you can't argue against that. they all have something to prove. So they always try to go up against me. Every single time i go somewhere in the Supra theres always a civic trying to race. & that Type R's owner only owns Hondas... thats all you'll ever find in his front yard.

it is anoying gettting revved at by every 16 year old that haas an eclipse, neon, civic, accord, or cavalier. and i agree that newer hondas are crap. my mom has an 06 cr-v and has already done the rear calipers, rear diff, and torque converter on the car. it doesnt even have 70,000 miles on it yet.

Wow... going to work at a pizza place intoxicated. Does not sound like my idea of a good time, gotta say.

Mike, that video was funny, I can't speak for all though. Reminds me of the bearded guy in the Skittles commercial a few years back, with the sentient beard...

As for the Celica vs Integra debate, I have to say aside from the GT4 variety of Celica, I'd take a Miata over them both, any day of the week. FWD cars are fun to toss around in the corners, as there's nearly NO chance of losing control short of a bit of understeer, they just don't provide the level of fun a Miata does. Miatas take well to boost in stock form, and it's easy enough to stick a GM LS engine in them... the potential is WAY above the limits of a FWD car. Honestly, the day I have an Integra give me a serious run for my money in a canyon in my pig of a Supra is the day I meet someone who can actually drive a car the way it was meant to be done. Besides, if I wanted handling from a car, I'd be building a 7 replica. ;)

On one of the OP's first suggested topics, no, I do not see any reason to fear death. If you believe in Christ and his death being for our benefit, then you're going to a better place anyway. And if you're not part of that camp, you probably don't believe in a hell anyway, so you're dead and dust... so where's the need of fear?
