Hey everyone i just purchased a 1989 Supra targa top rolling chasis and i have restoration and 2jz floating around in my head.

This car used to belong to a moderator on here and i'm hoping to return it to glory once again. Anyways here's a shot of it when i was picking it up. It's pretty much the same now save the mk4 stockies it's now wearing.

Thanks!

It's a NA chassis. Previously had a 2jz swap in it. No tranny either. Pretty much stripped. Very little to no rust on it at all.(came from cali) leather front seats will need replaced from bad cracking and i'll probably need a new gauge cluster. Other than that the obvious swap parts will be needed as well.

"And this is my lovely wife.....Oprah."

If you need a list of stuff to get for a 2JZ swap let me know, I've gotten everything over the last few years and have just blown up my old 7M. So it's fresh in my mind. BTW Welcome, loads of fun here.

Fortunately or Unfortunately the car has too much sentimental value for me so I'll never be giving it up. Just new powerplants.

are your front wheels off a FD? anyways welcome!

Yes they are FD wheels, nice eye! Gone now though as they belonged to the seller. I'm now sporting 95 oem mk4 wheels. Great fit!

Well i do have the lists from the site but seeing as you're an 89 i would love to see your list. Are you AT or MT? Feel free to just PM me if this is off topic for an intro thread. and Thanks!

Ya maybe it would be off topic, not sure. What would be best I bet, Is for you to start a build thread with pics and info so that everyone can benefit from our lists and ensuing discussion, corrections, etc.

I'm a 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo Targa, I think early 1989. 5-speed Manual r154, 7M-GTE(currently-D.O.A.). Red ext. w/ 2-tone grey silver trim. Grey leather int.

I'll get a build thread going fairly soon. I honestly wanted to have the engine/trans in first but i think i'm going to start with interior restoration and exterior paint. Either way i'll get a thread going in not too long.

Thanks again for all your comments.
