All season tires

Hey guys,

I've been doing some research on all season tires. As a poor college student I want to have a winter and summer set of tires but they aren't in the budget. Seeing as my rears are shot in need some new rear tires and I have come up with two that seem feasible.

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S and Continental ContiExtremeContact

The reason why I choose these are because they have the best snow traction of the all seasons I could find, being that I am living in northern Indiana snow traction is pretty important to me.

Just wondering if you guys have any opinions or suggestions.

How close are you to South Bend? You could always stop by The Tire Rack
and see what they have to offer. Don't know about the MP Exalto but I have
used Michelin all seasons on a few cars and they work very well. I would say that you should change all four for drivability, especially in N. Ind. winters.

Michelins aren't cheap... and you do get what you pay for with them.

I also agree with changing all 4 tires as well and rotate them so you don't burn off the backs.

We don't get a ton of snow here so I can't really comment too much, but my Kumho Ecsta SPT's have worked pretty well in the snow (LSD differential helps a LOT), and I know people that like the Kumho ASX's as well as they're even better in the snow. They're both pretty cheap as well.
