what i was asking is do i need one to put the clutch on. sorry if i dont know anything about clutches and transmissions. thats what this place is for to learn.

SO do i need one to put the clutch back on correctly and if so where can i get one

NO YOU DONT NEED ONE!

the pressure plate AND disk slide onto the input shaft of the tranny. push the tranny into place, then bolt on clutch from the acess holes!

oh and do me a favor... dont make 2 threads.

Do you have a W series transmission? The R154 doesn't need a tool, both the pressure plate and the disc slide onto the transmission input shaft. The input shaft does all the centering automagically.

I have yet to use a centering tool on an R154, and reinstallation has yet to be a problem.

yes. for the w58 and alignment tool is your friend, for the r-154, it's pretty useless.
