I have a 1987 7MGTE and everytime i try to unlock my driver side door the alarm goes off. Also the brake light on the gague cluster that comes on when you pull the e-brake stays on all the time. Does anyone know how to solve these problems ?

1) Open the door up and repair the cancel switch on the lock cylinder.

Welcome. That's a common failure mode with the alarm. However if it were me I'd first unplug the theft box connector and check with a meter to see if the switch was working but since I'm not the one who gets to take apart the door for possibly no reason I say just go for it 
+1 on the door switch, that's the most likely reason. When you top off your brake fluid, and if the light goes out, then check your fluid every couple of days. If your fluid keeps going low, you may have a leak in the rear seal of your master cylinder. If so, it will leak into the brake booster, and you won't be able to see it unless you pull off the master. Or it could just be that you need new brake pads, if your fluid stays level stays up.
